We are an expanding dual facility located in Newport, Arkansas serving victims of domestic violence as well as chronic homelessness. We serve five counties in Northeast Arkansas.
As you may or may not know, domestic violence does not discriminate. It affects people of all ages, genders, races, sexual preferences, and socioeconomic levels. Our organization exists to bring the issue of domestic violence out of the darkness, and into a light that allows us to assist victims with regaining their voice, and empowering those who have been suppressed in the vicious cycle of abuse.
We are able to provide many of these families and individuals not only a place to meet essential daily needs, but also a place to empower themselves and create a sense of inner strength, utilizing a goal-oriented program, developed through a series of customized classes.
We are not only helping in-shelter clients! We are expanding our outreach into the communities. We are partnering together- using our mental health, sexual assault, and child advocate- in our communities’ schools, hospitals, and correctional facilities to reach and educate those who may not yet realize the extent of the damage caused by domestic violence and abuse.
