About
Mission
The mission of Shalom Recovery Centers is as follows:
Shalom Recovery Centers exists to further the gospel of Jesus Christ by giving men and women with life controlling issues a safe environment and access to biblically faithful and clinically effective tools which enable them to become mentally sound, physically transformed, spiritually alive, and socially well-adjusted.
Description of our program:
Shalom Recovery Centers is a Christ-centered, non-medical addiction treatment facility for men and women. We use a curriculum that combines Christian discipleship with the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Additionally, we utilize several evidence-based strategies to individualize our treatment plans. This combined approach is a unique and powerful addiction treatment strategy. Our clinical director is certified as a clinical supervisor by the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB). Our clinical staff are all registered CITs (counselors in training) working with our clinical director toward ASACB certification as addiction counselors. Our program is also strengthened by our partnerships with various organizations that assist us in areas such as mental health, life skills training, and other areas of importance. Our relationship with the local church is also a key part of our long-term recovery strategy.
Another important piece of our recovery strategy is our employment opportunity program. After a client has been in inpatient treatment for 30 days, we assist them in job placement. Client program fees are paid out of their earnings from their job and any earnings over their program fees are given to the client upon successful graduation of the program, which they can use to help start their new sober life. We also work with clients on post-residency planning (where they will live, which relationships, meetings, etc. support their ongoing recovery, and what relationships need to be ended, etc.).
