Group Therapy
At LRCMHC, we aim to provide the services that are needed by our customers and our community. We strive to provide effective, research-based treatments by skilled clinicians. That means groups might be added or changed as we learn about patient needs or new approaches that would be helpful.
Some of the types of behavioral health concerns we address in group therapy are as follows:
Depression
Anxiety
Other Mood Problems
Serious Mental Illness such as Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia
Borderline Peronality Disorder
Mood Problems with Prominent Anger/Rage Features
Trauma Related issues (for example: domestic violence, childhood abuse)
Individual Therapy
We have therapists trained in cognitive therapies, behavioral therapies, cognitive-behavioral therapies and many other related approaches. When you meet with your therapist for the first time, you will work together to define a clear goals for your therapy. The approach used by the therapist will depend on the most effective treatment typically used for your presenting concerns. The numbers of sessions is variable and depends on multiple factors such as presenting problem, your response and commitment to treatment, what your insurance allows, and your ability to come consistently to sessions.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
LRCMHC Provides a Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Service. The DBT service includes skills group once a week, individual therapy once a week, and 24/7 skills coaching line by a trained therapist to help you use the skills you learn about in therapy. DBT has been shown to be effective in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder.
