PO Box 961, Nashville, AR 71852 call 845-8809 Phillip Walton
The Bread of Life Soup Kitchen, in Nashville Arkansas, has been in operation since 2O12. Thanks to many sponsors and volunteers; they have been able to feed approximately 125 people or more, (including home delivery) each Tuesday evening from 5pm to 6pm., at the Legion Hut. ln addition to the weekly meal, they provide a sack of groceries per family on the third Tuesday of each month. They distribute these groceries on a first come first serve basis to anyone present at the soup kitchen on the designated day. These groceries are donated to the soup kitchen from the generous donations received from various organizations, scouting clubs, school classes, Saturday Postal collections from local families, Wal Mart, & Fred's as well as many cash and check donations. We are hearing from those that we help weekly, that this has been a life saver for some of them. Not only have we fed them, we have provided clothes to some, again from generous donations from our schools and this wonderful community, Smiths Cleaners and local businesses. We have cried with some who have lost loved ones that we have helped. We have prayed with some that just needed that little extra word of encouragement.
