Salvation army provides Direct financial Assistance through a system of trained caseworkers, Emergency Communications, Collect, Sort, and Distribute donated goods such as food and clothing, Distribute Cleanup Supplies, Coordinate Cleanup Volunteers, Set up warehouses to distribute reconstruction supplies such as lumber and sheet rock, and provides spiritual comfort and emotional support to disaster victims and emergency workers coping with the stress of a disaster. The Salvation Army provides a variety of Social Services to those in need. Assistance varies depending upon location of Corps Offices and needs of the community and availability of funding.
